Wispr’s Notetaker integrates with your calendar and can listen in during any meeting. Once the discussion concludes, Wispr employs generative AI to summarize the conversation and connects it to a chatbot-style tool for contextual follow-up questions. The feature is debuting on Mac laptops, with plans to expand to Windows in the future. If you activate Privacy Mode for your account, your dictation data will not be used by Wispr for AI model training.

During my initial test of Notetaker in a conversation with the CEO, the live transcription was impressively accurate as it appeared on the screen, and I didn’t notice any significant errors in the AI-generated summary post-meeting. The “ask anything” tool stood out as the feature’s highlight. I had a specific quote I wanted to locate but couldn’t recall when Kothari mentioned it during our discussion. When I cross-referenced it with my audio recording for accuracy, the AI-transcribed quote aligned perfectly with the audio file.

Users can customize the finer points of Wispr’s Notetaker in the Mac app’s settings. One standout feature is the option to extend the maximum meeting recording duration to an impressive six hours.
