Just three months ago, Nvidia unveiled its RTX Spark “superchip” along with several upcoming laptops designed to utilize it. This event marked a significant milestone in the PC landscape, even though many questions lingered.

Now, as revealed at the IFA 2026 tech show in Berlin, we’ve had our initial hands-on experience with one of these laptops, along with announcements regarding RTX Spark-equipped mini desktop PCs. The necessity for running agentic AI applications like OpenClaw locally continues to grow, and these new systems seem tailored to meet this demand.

The featured laptop is the Lenovo Yoga 9n 2-in-1, boasting a 16-inch size with a 360-degree hinge. As anticipated, it exudes a premium feel designed to rival the MacBook Pro in every detail. The OLED touchscreen offers a crisp 2880 x 1800 resolution alongside a 120-Hz refresh rate. The chassis features smoothly rounded metallic edges and impressively thin display bezels. Additional high-end elements include a six-speaker audio system and a 9.2-megapixel webcam.

Here’s the crucial detail: It measures 0.69 inches in thickness, just 0.03 inches thinner than the 16-inch MacBook Pro. This is made possible by Nvidia’s Arm-based chip, which integrates a Grace CPU with “up to 20 cores” and a Blackwell RTX GPU with “up to 6,144 cores.” The CPU, GPU, and memory are combined into a single system-on-a-chip (SoC), drawing parallels with Apple silicon rather than a typical Windows laptop. This core count implies that the integrated GPU performance of this chip could potentially sit between an RTX 5070 Ti and an RTX 5080 found in contemporary laptops. There are also indications that lower-powered configurations will be available, but the full range of performance specifications is still unclear. While battery life specifics were not disclosed, it’s reasonable to infer that utilizing an Arm-based SoC (as opposed to a discrete GPU) could result in enhanced efficiency and improved battery longevity.
