Utilize Google Gemini and ChatGPT to Structure Your Life with Planned Activities

The creators of major generative AI chatbots are rapidly rolling out new features to ensure their bot is your go-to option for assistance from artificial intelligence.
One of the recent enhancements to Google Gemini allows you to establish scheduled actions. These actions function as you might expect: Tasks that Google Gemini can execute automatically based on a set schedule. Whether you want a weather report and news summary every morning at 7 am, or a dinner suggestion each evening at 7 pm, you can schedule anything Gemini is capable of doing.
This update aligns Gemini with the ChatGPT app, which introduced scheduled tasks months ago. The concept remains consistent: The bot can execute your commands at a predetermined time in the future and can continue repeating them as needed. Here’s how this feature operates on both platforms.

Currently, a subscription to Google’s AI service is required, starting at $20 per month for Google AI Pro. The chatbot can handle up to 10 scheduled actions concurrently, so it’s essential to choose wisely. You can set up scheduled actions in Gemini on both the web and mobile applications for Android and iOS.
To create a scheduled action in Gemini, simply describe it and include the scheduling details in your prompt. For instance, you might say, “create an image of a cat with a ball of yarn every Monday at 12 pm,” or “give me a trivia question every evening at 7 pm.”
Scheduled actions can be set for one-time occurrences—like next Friday at 3 pm—or can recur daily, weekly, or monthly. However, complex schedules (like every second Tuesday) or random surprises are not possible.
Gemini is designed to recognize your request for scheduling and will provide a summary: what you’ve asked it to do, when, and how often. If everything is accurate, you don’t need to take additional steps. The action will execute regardless of whether you have Gemini open, and you’ll receive notifications on your devices (if enabled) as well as an email alert.
