Adobe MAX 2025: Key Highlights from Adobe’s Creative Suite Announcements

Generate Speech marks Adobe’s first foray into text-to-speech technology within Firefly, utilizing its own Firefly models alongside those from ElevenLabs. At the time of launch, Adobe will support 15 languages, allowing you to incorporate emotion tags. These tags are not universally applicable, enabling you to apply different tags to distinct segments of a line to adjust inflection. Generate Soundtrack and Generate Speech will soon be available in Firefly.

There’s also a new Firefly video editor. For the first time, users can access a comprehensive, multi-track video editor right in their browser, integrated with Firefly. Adobe claims it’s designed to merge different sources, blending generated and captured content across video, audio, and images. A waiting list will be in place for the Firefly video editor, though Adobe has yet to reveal a wider release date.

AI Assistants in Photoshop and Express

Recently, the term agentic AI has gained traction—referring to an AI assistant that carries out specific tasks for users. While Adobe already has such an assistant in Acrobat, it’s extending this functionality to Photoshop and Express. According to Adobe, this assistant will balance “tactile and agentic” roles, serving as an educational guide through Adobe’s applications.

Within Photoshop or Express, you can summon the assistant to help with various tasks. It can direct you to the appropriate tool based on your current work, while still allowing you to maintain control over the final result. The AI assistant in Express is available now for testing, but you’ll need to sign up for the waiting list for Photoshop.
